Some of us have many so-called friends, while others only have a few. Regardless of how many friends you have in your circle, always evaluate what type of friends you have.

We all have bad behaviors, even though we keep on doing them, we know that what we are doing is bad. That's because people have a conscience that tells us if what we are doing is right or wrong. That is what differentiates us from all other creatures on this planet.
Sometimes we can't help but show our bad behavior because of a lack of discipline and self-control. What makes it worse is the people surrounding us, like friends and family, who tolerate our bad behavior or turn a blind eye when we are doing something wrong.
For me, I don't see them as people who truly love us but rather people who are just waiting for us to fail.
Distance yourself from these types of people, no matter how attached you are to them. These people will not only tolerate your bad behavior but they might also try to influence you to do even worse things.
You will eventually know the truth about these people when you're already failing, and they start to distance themselves from you. Aside from that, they will tell you that you are to be blamed for your actions, considering they were there and could have stopped you when you were doing bad things.
These people are bad company. Look for people who will guide you in your life and not people who will let you do things your way and abandon you in the end.
Also, you must always distinguish why a person should be treated as your friend. Why are they always supporting you? Do you have any similarities in terms of views and goals? Or are they just there because you are rich and popular?
Bad friends can never be found and avoid you when you need them.
Here are some Holy Bible verses that can guide you about friendship.
Proverbs 26:23-26
²³ Like the glaze covering an earthen vessel
are fervent lips with an evil heart.
²⁴Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips
and harbors deceit in his heart;
²⁵ when he speaks graciously, believe him not,
for there are seven abominations in his heart;
²⁶though his hatred be covered with deception,
his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.
Proverbs 27: 6
⁶Faithful are the wounds of a friend;
profuse are the kisses of an enemy.
